Terms and Conditions

  1. The under the crown promotion ('Programme') is valid on red ringed crowns of 250ml glass returnable bottles of Pepsi, Mirinda, 7Up and Mountain Dew from June 16, 2013 to August 6, 2013 both dates inclusive, in Nepal only.
  2. Products without the Programme are also available. Participation is optional.
  3. On purchase of a 250ml glass returnable bottle of Pepsi look under the crown and SMS the code mentioned there on 7722.
  4. Programme valid for NTC, Ncell, UTL and Smartcell mobile connection users only. Cost of SMS (Rs. 2 plus all taxes) will have to be borne by the consumer.
  5. Programme is open to all residents of Nepal above 18 years of age except employees and family members of Varun Beverage Nepal Private Limited ('Organizers'), its associate companies, its advertising and promotional agencies, its auditors and their associate companies.
  6. On purchase of the above mentioned Products during the Programme Period, look under the crown and you could win any one of the following prizes:
    (i) Rs. 1,00,000 (Nepali Rupee One Lakh) (Number of prizes –52)
    (ii) Rs. 20,00,000 (Nepali Rupees Twenty Lakhs) (Number of prize – 1)
  7. A lucky draw through automatic software will decide the winners which will be randomly selected. After verification of the unique code, winners receive a call from the representative of the Organizers. The Grand Prize will be taken out on the last day of the Programme.
  8. The prize in category 6 (i) shall be taken out on a weekly basis using the randomizer software.
  9. The prize in category 6 (ii) shall be taken out at the end of the Contest Period.
  10. The list of winners in category 6 (i) and 6 (ii) will be published in selected national newspapers and will also be contacted on the number from the message is received.
  11. SMS sent to any other number except mentioned above shall not be considered for the prize.
  12. One unique code shall entitle the Participant to one prize only.
  13. A prize winning Crown will not be valid if it is not legible, tampered with, not obtained legitimately, or does not have the requisite code.
  14. Participant claiming any of the prizes above will have to surrender their crown to the representative of the Organizers against a receipt for the purpose of verification by the Auditors. Award of Prizes is subject to the verification of the prize winning crowns and other documents by the Auditors and or representatives of the Organizer.
  15. All crowns submitted towards verification shall become the property of the Organizers.
  16. If due to technical reasons or issues beyond the control of the Organizer, the Code does not reach the Organizer via SMS, the Organizer's shall not be responsible for the same.
  17. Each winner will be contacted 5 times over a period of 24 hours to inform them of the win. In the event that the winner is not contacted in the 5 tries the Organizer shall be at a liberty to pass on the prize to the next winner or forfeit the prize in its entirety.
  18. The use of any voting software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an individual to automatically send codes repeatedly is prohibited and will render all codes submitted by that individual consumer invalid. The Organizer shall be at the liberty to take action as may be available under the law against such consumer.
  19. Decision of Organizer's and Auditors will be final and binding with regard to Programme and prizes and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  20. Organizers shall be at liberty to use the photographs, voice, motion pictures of the winner for media coverage, advertisement or publicity in any form which is existing today or will be known anytime in the future without any further consideration to the winner.
  21. The winners will be responsible for all incidental expenses including taxes and levies that may be applicable for redemption of the prizes.
  22. Organizer reserves the right to cancel, modify, extend or withdraw the Programme at its sole and absolute discretion.
  23. The picture of prizes depicted on the press ads/posters/ TVC's etc. are only representative and the actual prizes may vary from the depictions, also the programme does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of the products or services being offered as prizes.
  24. Organizers shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or any other liability arising out of the Programme. Organizer shall not be liable for any loss or damage due to Act of God, Central and State governmental actions, policies and other force majeure circumstances and shall not be liable to pay any amount as compensation or otherwise for any such loss.
  25. The Programme is subject to force majeure conditions.
